The homes atr 152 Sussex st. are both one bedroom one bath homes. Both have hardwood floors and higher end appliances but not top of the line. The apartments look very nice though and very light. The big arched windows are a welcome change from the floor to ceiling post modern townhouses sprouting up all over Downtown jersey City. Thank goodness for Historic preservation.
The two apartments, designated uit 2 and 3 are 588 square feet and 644 square feet respectively. Unit #3 is the larger of the two. The prices per square foot are $1,003 for smaller unit and $977 for the larger one. Continued below
The third apartment is a one bedroom loft at 140 Bay street aka, the Cook Warehouse. I am a big fan of that building and in my humble opinion it represents one of the best loft conversions in Jersey City. MLS# 70000868 is a one bedroom one bath of 750 Square feet. The offer price is $779,000 and that works out to a somewhat optimistic $1,039 per square foot. The apartment look amazing though and the owners kept that super cool loft feel, which is why you buy a loft in the first place.
Taxes are among the lowest in the city at $4,370 and maintenance is also reasonable at $405 per month. Location wise, Bay Street is still a little gritty but that will change in a hurry as the buildings become occupied. It is a short walk to the Grove St. Path station.
